Introduction to Klezmer Music
Originating from the hill country of Texas, Alexander Jones has been raised by the humming sounds of the Blanco River. Early musical pursuits saw him touring tirelessly through the United States exploring the wide breadth of musical culture and hidden communities of niche players. He has spent nearly a decade playing professionally in ensembles with musical genres spanning generations and continents. Since 2018, Alexander has continued to fall in love with Klezmer music and folk music of Eastern Europe. The essence of which, he believes, captures the human condition in a completely unique and profound way. Such emotion and spirit is a kind that one can simply be devoted to, in a humble desire to become a conduit of such feeling, and to share it with others in this beautiful and devastating world.
