Matthew Cherkas
When Matthew isn’t eating pizza, he spends his time with his feet on the line between art and design. With his toes dipping in both realms, he took a plunge in 2014 to co-found Treaty Design Studios with Vincent Monastero. They went on to win a bunch of awards and exhibit work in Toronto at the Design Exchange and the Art Gallery of Ontario, as well as at Milan Design Week and Turin Design Week in Italy.
Working in communities of passionate and diverse people makes him happy; he just can’t help it! Matthew’s great personal passion is cycling, offering him respite and a chance for introspection; it’s his kind of meditation, so he says.
