OKSANA HAWRYLAK
Oksana is a visual artist from Toronto whose work focuses on public & community art, with a strong folk art bent. She studied printmaking at OCAD University, and has exhibited internationally, including San Francisco, California, Ukraine, Russia, and Australia. She is also the co-founder of Kosa Kolektiv, a Slavic folk arts collective based in Toronto and visual artist for the Juno nominated band, the Lemon Bucket Orkestra. Oksana is involved in community arts initiatives in and outside of Toronto; from public art projects like the Patch Project in Toronto, to screen printing workshops with orphans in Ukraine.
Past workshops she's taught include: screen printing, relief printing, bookbinding, mask making, paper cutting, didukhy (decorated Ukrainian wheat sheaf), and pysanky (Ukrainian easter eggs).
