Are you an experienced scyther or a scythe-curious newbie? Want to make hay while the sun shines? Join us, ORSN & FolkCamp, at Topsy Farms on Amherst Island in Ontario to learn about scythes, scything (aka mowing by hand) and hay making the old-fashioned way.
We will also be celebrating our various traditions of harvest time, including Lammas (loaf-mass -Anglo-saxon "hlaf-mass" ) or Lughnasadh (The assembly of the sun-god Lugh) in Gaelic, Zhnyva or DOŻYNKI (in Slavic languages, reaping time, harvest of the grain).
Tickets are from $90 t0 $180 per person (day ticket and subsidized tickets available).
You will need to bring your own camping gear and supplies for meals, but we will aim for communal dining on Friday and Saturday evening.
